Hum - my laptop bit the dirt last week, which has confused just about everything. The good news is that starting from scratch is kind of liberating. The bad news is all the little setups, tweaks, and other bits and pieces that have vanished make things irritatingly difficult to do. So often it feels like I start out to do some simple task, then find out that some little step along the way has changed or doesn't work now, so I have to figure out a workaround, and then that runs into something - and sometimes I forget where I was going when it all started.
Anyway, most of the big stuff is back to ordinary operation. Realized today that I didn't know how to read Japanese email under Eudora - looks as if I either get a new copy of Eudora-J, save and read under netscape, or dig out my old copy of the L&H translator (apparently no longer available). All somewhat irritating.
Ah, well, enjoy the weather, you can't change it!
